Wow! I just rediscovered my own blog! Obviously I got busy and forgot all about this blog. In fact, I probably started another blog somewhere else (that I've also forgotten about). It's kind of a bad habit of mine.
When I left off here we were in the middle of moving. We ended up staying with my husband's parents for about 4 months. This was because all the "affordable" places that my father-in-law said were available suddenly disappeared when we moved. Then we spent a month in a motel room because I refused to stay there anymore (it's a long story). The funny part is I actually look back at that motel room with fondness. Let's just say that my in-laws are not the most relaxing people to be around. Finally we found a place to live. We stayed there for the next 3 years. I liked our place and I loved the town. There was a beautiful park close by, we were right across the street from the grocery store and a small strip mall, and I could walk to Tim Horton's. I missed our old house a lot but I adapted. Logan started Junior Kindergarten, which was bitter sweet. I loved his school though, and his teachers were amazing. He had a substitute for the first half of JK, then his regular teacher came back. She was fantastic and he was so fortunate to have her again for SK.
Then we ended up moving AGAIN. I am SO done with moving. We moved because my in-laws split up and my mother-in-law hasn't lived on her own in years and years and my husband was concerned that she wouldn't adjust well. It also happened that she moved into half of a house and the other half of it was available and it had a bigger backyard (the one major thing we didn't like about the place we were living). So, although I did not really want to go anywhere, we ended up moving again.
The problem I find with moving is that although there are usually benefits there are always things that you miss too. Like, now we have a bigger backyard and there is a community center here that offers fun stuff for the kids to do and there seems to be more events and what not happening here. On the other hand, we are 10 minutes drive away from a Tim Horton's, our place is smaller then the last one, and we live in a very tiny town. Before, I could go to the strip mall and get most of the stuff that I wanted. Now I have to wait until my husband can drive me to one of the bigger towns (since I don't drive). Overall, I like this place and I can definitely see the benefits of living here (especially for the kids), but I still miss our old town.
One of the other changes that has happened since I last wrote here is that my husband changed jobs. Which was a good thing because he hated working for that computer store. The job he works at now is in the construction field. It's hard work but it pays well and he gets winters off.
The biggest surprise that has happened since I last wrote here is that just after we moved I found out I was pregnant again! That was SO unexpected. I mean, sometimes I would think wistfully about having another baby, but I really thought we were done with two and I was (mostly) okay with that. On April 8th, 2014 we welcomed a handsome baby boy into our lives. 3 boys! Life is definitely keeping me busy.
