I received two sets of Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure nails for free from Influenster. The one set was "Dancing Queen" and the other set was "Over the Moon".
This is me wearing "Over the Moon":
These kits retails for around $9.47. For the price, these are very well designed press on nails, in my opinion.
First, the positives:
1. These nails come in a little case shaped like a nail polish bottle. Super cute! You could even keep it to put small trinkets in when you're done your manicure.
2. There are TONS of colours and styles available. Just go to http://impressmanicure.com/design/ to see for yourself! I think there's something for everyone.
3. There's a size for everyone. One issue that I have had with press on nails in the past is trying to find ones that fit my wide nail bases. No issue with imPRESS nails! Each pack comes with 12 different sizes (24 nails altogether). I had no problem at all to find the right size for my nails.
4. These nails are really easy to apply. Just swipe your nails with the included prep pad (after you've removed any nail polish you might have had on). Then find the one that is the right size for your nail, pull the tab on the nail off, and firmly press the nail onto your own nail. That's it! It literally took me 5 minutes to apply these on my first try (and I am NOT good with these things).
5. They come in different lengths. The press on nails I have used in the past have always been horribly long and I had to file them down A LOT. imPRESS nails come in short and medium lengths (not sure if there is a long length?). The short length was still a little bit too long for my liking, but I like my nails really short so I'm sure they'd be fine for most people.
Now, because I want this to be an honest review, the negatives:
1. When I opened my super cute bottle to take my nails out, only a few were in the little holder thing. The rest were just loose behind it. Now hopefully this was just a fluke, because it felt kind of...sloppy.
2. It was difficult to find two nails the same size. Which is kind of important since most of us have the same size nails on the same fingers. Fortunately, I figured out that there are small numbers on the back of each nail, and each nail size has the same number. So just figure out what nail you need for what finger, and then look for a nail with the matching number.
3. The instructions aren't that clear. As I said, these nails are super easy to apply, but I still would have liked a bit more instructions. For instance, my prep pad had no English instructions on it, so I had to Google to make sure I was using it correctly. Also, there is no explanation for the little emery board that comes with it, so I was a bit concerned that I had missed out on some important step for prep.
The claim from Broadway Nails is that these nails will last up to a week. So, can they last a whole week? They didn't for me. However, I use my nails a lot, and I was digging around in my garden and stuff. I do really think if you are at all careful with your nails that these could last an entire week. Once applied, they stuck very firmly on my nails. I'm sure they would have lasted much longer if I had taken better care with them.
So, are they worth the money? If you like press on nails, absolutely! They look fantastic once applied (you'd never know they were press on's), and they're also comfortable to wear. I'm very imPRESSed with these (see what I did there? ha)
